Artexpo New York returns to Pier 36 in Manhattan’s Lower East Side for its 49th edition, showcasing the finest in contemporary and fine art. This year, the Spotlight Program honors a select group of artists and galleries whose vision, innovation, and mastery are shaping the future of the art world.

For nearly five decades, Artexpo has set the stage for legendary talent—from Andy Warhol and Keith Haring to Basquiat and Robert Rauschenberg. April 9–12, over 1,000 artists across painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, and glass will converge for a truly exceptional showcase.

The Spotlight Program recipients represent the pinnacle of creativity and influence, and attendees will have the rare opportunity to experience their work firsthand.

Founded in 1992 by Bernard Rougerie, ArtWise built its reputation on exhibition posters before evolving into an early pioneer of online art sales. Now led by Justin White—with Rougerie continuing as advisor—it enters a new chapter grounded in legacy, accessibility, and a belief that art should be lived with.

Operating from DUMBO, the gallery spans modernism to contemporary works, with a focus on vintage posters, fine art prints, and blue-chip artists. For Artexpo New York 2026, it presents a dialogue between exhibition posters and Pop Art—balancing bold statement pieces with more approachable works.

At the center is As I Opened Fire by Roy Lichtenstein, a commanding large-scale triptych that anchors the booth. Surrounding it, selections from the artist’s Nudes and Still Life series reveal a more intimate, collectible dimension of his practice. Marking ArtWise’s first fair in over a decade—and White’s debut as owner—the presentation serves as both a reintroduction and a confident statement of intent.

Drew Marc Gallery is a contemporary fine art gallery known for its thoughtful curatorial approach and dynamic programming. Founded by Andrew Trujillo, who previously worked as an art advisor in Santa Fe, New Mexico—one of the largest art markets in the U.S.—Trujillo developed strong relationships with collectors and insight into building a successful gallery program.

The gallery’s vision is to present emerging and internationally recognized artists side by side, highlighting the dialogue between established and rising talent. Through carefully curated exhibitions, Drew Marc creates an engaging environment for collectors and art enthusiasts alike.

Artexpo New York and Redwood Art Group proudly present the winners and finalists of the 2025 Digital Photo Contest. The Contest brought the best entries to the fair floor for attendees to see and vote for their favorites. Finalists’ photos were displayed on state-of-the-art screens to a global audience during Artexpo New York 2025, the world’s original art fair.

The Best of Show Winner will be invited to exhibit at an upcoming Redwood art fair. The first weekend of April marked a familiar buzz in New York City as Artexpo New York returned for its 48th edition. Held from April 3–6, 2025, at Pier 36 in Manhattan’s vibrant Lower East Side, the world’s original fine art marketplace and longest-running contemporary art fair once again drew art lovers from near and far.

This year’s fair featured 200 leading galleries, publishers, and independent artists from around the globe, presenting an impressive array of original works. The fair was alive with energy — and sales — as attendees explored hundreds of pieces spanning painting, sculpture, photography, prints, ceramics, drawings, glass works, giclees, and lithographs.

With strong attendance and representation from 27 countries, the event was a clear testament to the continued passion of collectors, curators, and art professionals for discovering bold, fresh talent and innovative creations.

Artexpo’s dynamic programming and special events kept fairgoers engaged and inspired throughout the weekend. Attendees had the chance to meet this year’s Spotlight Program recipients, celebrate Samir Sammoun’s 30th anniversary of exhibiting at Artexpo New York, and even witness new masterpieces coming to life right on the show floor.

Adding to the excitement was the vibrant Jason Perez Art Collection showcased on the Mezzanine level. From interactive experiences to unforgettable exhibitions, the fair delivered a lively blend of art, celebration, and discovery at every turn.

The Spotlight Program provided collectors with a focused look at several galleries and prominent artists who created a site-specific exhibition. Spotlight Program recipients for 2025 included:

The newly introduced Redwood Art Prize Contest, an international award open to artists of all disciplines, celebrating creative excellence across diverse art forms with over $20,000 in prizes. This year’s inaugural contest applied “Boundless” as the theme, and the 2025 winners artworks displayed during the fair were Bret Neathery (“Blue Jean Eyes”), Gavin Hein (“Edge of Glory”), Linda Washburn Roberts (“Terraced Sunset”) and Rhea Diehl (“Howling Under a Burning Sky”).

Centered around the “Blink” theme, the debut of the Artexpo New York Digital Photo Contest challenged photographers to capture the essence of creativity and invited them to submit their most compelling images. With over $30,000 in prizes up for grabs, attendees voted for their favorite entrants using voting kiosks located around the fair.

Neelam Padte is an accomplished artist known for her vibrant, symbolic artworks that explore themes of spirituality, culture, and self-discovery. Born in Mumbai, India, she draws inspiration from her Indian heritage and personal experiences. Today Padte is a full-time floorcloth artist, specializing in hand-painted canvas rugs that showcase her intricate compositions that are rich in color and meaning. Her works, which blend elements of realism and abstraction, have been featured in exhibitions across the United States and internationally, earning admiration for their ability to evoke deep introspection and emotional connection.

Neelam creates her floorcloth abstract mixed media paintings from inspirations of earth, water, wind, fire and space as viewed through the prism of her soul, sharing her inner spirit with the viewers. Based in Chile, Pamela Galleguillos is a renowned sculptor celebrated for her striking and evocative works that explore themes of identity, nature, and human emotion, Galleguillos has exhibited in prestigious galleries and international art fairs, earning accolades for her innovative use of materials and her ability to convey movement and emotion through form. Her sculptures often combine organic and abstract shapes, blending textures and layers to create a deep connection between the artwork and its environment.

Over time, Galleguillos’ work began to focus on human, organic figures as a foundation for expressing motivations of the soul, each intertwined into a perfect complement. With her own foundry, ​she shares her knowledge with renowned national artists and pursues and exhibits her own work in cities throughout Chile.
