Catering to art collectors, interior designers, and event planners, Chamoun Gallery ensures that each art piece perfectly complements the desired ambiance and aesthetic. Their detailed, methodical approach ensures that the chosen art enhances the uniqueness of the space it inhabits.

Expanding Horizons: International Collaborations

Motivated to dispel the stereotypes cast by years of conflict and grim headlines, Nour first sought to showcase Syrian artwork. Her mission was to reveal a side of Syria distanced from politics and war.

Nour’s gallery embraces diversity and fosters creativity through extensive collaborations. Now boasting partnerships with over 30 artists from an array of cultural backgrounds, Nour curates a tapestry of global artistic expressions. Each collaboration highlights unique perspectives and narratives, enriching the contemporary art scene with innovative and thought-provoking creations.

The gallery offers an eclectic mix that caters to diverse tastes and artistic appetites. Recently, Nour expanded its horizon by forging alliances with several prestigious galleries located in the south of France, a region celebrated for its rich artistic heritage and vibrant cultural scene. This strategic move allows Nour to present a broader spectrum of art styles, ensuring that the gallery meets the nuanced preferences of its discerning clientele.

The diversity of artists represented by Nour brings a wealth of perspectives, each contributing to a richer, more inclusive art narrative. The gallery’s dedication to showcasing a wide range of cultural voices underscores its mission to be a platform where art transcends cultural divisions and unites people in a shared appreciation of creativity and beauty.

A Gallery’s Vision Sets the Course

Chamoun Gallery’s journey is deeply rooted in a passion for art and a commitment to innovation, collaboration, and personalized service. As the gallery grows, Nour’s distinct approach continues to shape it into a prominent name in contemporary art.

Nour’s involvement in the art world goes beyond professional aspirations; it’s a heartfelt dedication to celebrating beauty, fostering creativity, and leveraging the transformative power of art. This vision underpins every aspect of Chamoun Gallery, driving artist collaborations, gallery partnerships, and tailored art consultations. By transcending boundaries, the gallery aims to create meaningful connections and elevate the art experience for all.

While some traditionalists may argue that the tactile experience of viewing art in person is irreplaceable, the rise of online galleries is undoubtedly transforming the art world. As digital platforms continue to evolve, they are likely to become an integral part of the art ecosystem, providing new opportunities for artists and collectors while enriching the overall experience of art appreciation.

It provides artists with unprecedented global exposure. No longer restricted by geographical limitations, emerging and established artists can now reach audiences far beyond the walls of traditional galleries.
Q: Introduce yourself — who you are and what your vision as an artist is?

A: My vision as an artist is to create captivating and impactful images that not only showcase the beauty of fashion but also tell compelling stories and leave a lasting impression on the viewers.

I am driven by a passion for storytelling and a meticulous approach to detail, which greatly influences my work as a photographer.

Q: What is your background?

A: Growing up on a rural farm in West Virginia and having a cultural heritage rooted in Northern Europe and Germany have greatly influenced my artistic vision. The simplicity of rural life and the connection with animals have shaped my perspective, while my heritage has given me a sense of pride and a connection to a rich artistic tradition.

These elements are reflected in my art, showcasing a deep appreciation for nature, a strong work ethic, and a connection to my roots.

Q: What is your work philosophy and how does that impact your work?

A: I believe that as a photographer, my work is about more than just capturing beauty. It’s about telling compelling stories and creating visually stunning narratives. I emphasize meticulous planning and collaboration with my team to bring creative visions to life. Authenticity and individuality are at the heart of my photography, as I aim to capture the true essence of my subjects.

Attention to detail, mood, and emotion are essential elements in creating impactful images. Continuous learning and growth fuel my creativity, allowing me to stay innovative and relevant in the industry. Overall, my work philosophy revolves around storytelling, collaboration, authenticity, attention to detail, and continuous learning.

Q: What artist(s) inspire you?

A: As a photographer, I draw inspiration from a wide range of talented and visionary artists in the industry. These artists have not only influenced my work, but also pushed me to continually push the boundaries of my own creativity.

Here are a few examples of the photographers who inspire me: Richard Avedon, Helmut Newton, Irving Penn, Peter Lindbergh, Steven Meisel, Time Walker, and Herb Ritts.

Q: What is the best advice you’ve received?

A: I believe in staying true to my unique vision and style. Trusting my instincts and not being swayed by trends or external opinions has allowed me to develop an authentic voice. By staying true to myself, I create meaningful and impactful images that reflect my artistic vision.

Q: When you are not working, where can we find you?

A: My life is a beautiful blend of art, nature, continuous learning, and cherished moments with loved ones. I find inspiration in art exhibitions, galleries, and museums, immersing myself in the creativity of other talented artists. Nature rejuvenates my spirit and fuels my creativity. I actively seek opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills, attending workshops and exploring new creative domains.

Spending quality time with loved ones brings me joy and fulfillment. This harmonious combination enriches my life and inspires my artistic endeavors.

Q: What does exhibiting at Artexpo New York 2024 mean to you?

A: Artexpo New York is an exciting opportunity for me to share my curated collection of photographs with a wide audience. I’m eager to showcase my unique style and storytelling through imagery and connect with fellow artists and industry experts. Being selected for this exhibition validates my talent and hard work, and I look forward to receiving feedback and growing as a photographer. Artexpo New York 2024 is a milestone that will allow me to gain recognition and expand my network within the art and gallery industry. By adding digital elements to the physical world, AR invites a deeper interaction with the creations. It’s changing how we perceive and engage with things we see in galleries. This post delves into the transformative role of AR in showing exhibitions. It explores how AR enhances visitor experiences and opens new possibilities for all curators. As we explore this emerging landscape, we’ll discover how AR redefines the traditional boundaries of creativity and technology.

The Evolution of Galleries

Art galleries have experienced a remarkable evolution over the centuries. Originating as private collections accessible only to the elite, they have transitioned into public spaces that celebrate cultural diversity and creative expression. In earlier times, galleries were almost sacred places where silence prevailed, and the focus was solely on the physical works displayed in a traditional, static format. The advent of modern art initiated a shift towards more interactive and engaging experiences. These changes reflected the evolving societal attitudes towards creative works and their role in public discourse. Today, technology, especially augmented reality (AR), is playing a pivotal role in further transforming galleries. This technological integration introduces dynamic, immersive elements to all kinds of exhibitions, reshaping how audiences interact with them.

Uniboa for Unsplash

What is Augmented Reality?

Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that overlays digital information into the real world. Unlike Virtual Reality (VR), which creates an entirely digital environment, AR enhances reality by adding to it. This technology has found applications in various fields, from gaming to education, and now it’s significantly impacting the creative world. AR in art is not just about viewing; it’s about experiencing and interacting. This technology allows visitors to engage with art in previously unimaginable ways. It brings paintings to life, tells stories behind sculptures, and creates immersive environments. AR is transforming it from a passive viewing experience into an interactive journey, making art more accessible and appealing to a broader audience.

Dannie Jing for Unsplash

Augmented Reality in Galleries

In the realm of art and augmented reality, galleries are finding new ways to captivate and engage their audiences. By integrating AR, traditional creative works are no longer confined to their frames. Visitors can interact with different pieces, uncovering hidden stories and details. This interaction is not just about adding novelty but deepening understanding. AR allows curators to express concepts and narratives that extend beyond the physical dimensions of their work. For galleries, this means offering a more engaging and memorable experience. This new dimension of interaction attracts diverse audiences, including those who might not have been interested in traditional forms of creativity. AR is thus enhancing the gallery experience and democratizing access to art for everyone.

Benefits of Integrating AR

Integrating AR into art galleries offers numerous benefits. Firstly, it significantly enhances the visitor experience. By adding interactive elements, AR makes art more engaging and understandable. It also serves as an educational tool, providing contextual information and historical background about works people see. This can be particularly beneficial for complex or abstract pieces. Moreover, AR contributes to making art more inclusive. It breaks down barriers for those who might feel intimidated by traditional galleries. It also offers accessibility features for people with disabilities. For creatives, AR is a powerful medium for creative expression. It allows them to add layers of meaning and interaction to their works. This technological integration enriches the art and broadens its appeal, attracting a wider, more diverse audience.

Challenges and Considerations

Despite its benefits, integrating AR in galleries is not without challenges. The foremost is the technical and financial investment required. Not all galleries have the resources to implement AR technology effectively. Another challenge is finding the right balance between technology and creative works. There’s a risk that the technology might overshadow the art itself. Curators must ensure that AR complements, rather than dominates, the creative experience. Accessibility is another crucial consideration. The technology should be user-friendly and accessible to all visitors, regardless of their tech-savviness. These challenges require careful planning and thoughtful implementation. Success in this venture means not just adopting new technology but adapting it in a way that respects and enhances the core values of the gallery.

Tara Winstead for Pexels

Art and Augmented Reality: The Future of Galleries

The future of art galleries with augmented reality is promising and full of potential. As AR technology advances, its applications within galleries will likely become more innovative and immersive. We can expect galleries to offer experiences that are not only visually stunning but also emotionally engaging and intellectually stimulating. These developments will likely attract a new generation of artists and visitors for whom technology is integral to life. As AR becomes more mainstream, it may also become a key factor in conceptualizing and creating new artworks. The gallery of the future might be a place where the boundaries between reality and digital creation are seamlessly blended, offering experiences that are currently unimaginable.

Conclusion

The blend of art and augmented reality (AR) marks a pivotal moment in the evolution of galleries. This technology is not just a passing trend but a revolutionary shift in how we experience and interact with works in the gallery. AR brings a new dimension to exhibitions, allowing visitors to engage with creations on a deeper, more interactive level. This enhanced engagement is vital for the modern audience, who seek experiences that are both intellectually stimulating and emotionally resonant. As AR technology continues to develop, its potential applications are boundless. We can anticipate more immersive, personalized, and interactive experiences that challenge our traditional perceptions of art. As we embrace this new era, the marriage of art and AR promises to enrich our cultural landscape, making it more accessible, engaging, and meaningful for everyone.

No matter how much love and soul you’re planning to put into starting an art gallery, you need to be realistic. This is a business. Make no mistake; your passion will set your particular business apart. However, you need to be able to keep a cool head and be objective. Striking a balance between these two worlds, the creative and professional one, is one of the biggest challenges that await you. Of course, if you’re looking to start an art gallery, this is only the tip of the iceberg. Luckily, we’ve gathered a guide that’ll help you get started.

Know the ins and outs of the business to start an art gallery

Take in as much information as you can on the type of art you’ll be displaying in your gallery. You want to be considered a professional. Look for similar galleries in other cities and visit them, either online or in person. Learn more about the artists who are making this style of work, both established names and newcomers. Your gallery will stand out as one that consumers can trust if they see that your approach is professional. A great thing you could do is to have each piece of art explained, along with its meaning and its relevance in the genre.

Find the space for your art gallery

Try to find a space that’ll feel right and have all the predispositions for your business to grow. To start an art gallery successfully, it needs to be in a good location. Lack of availability and approachability can be a massive deal-breaker for many art gallery geeks. Especially if you live in a city that tourists often visit, you’ll want to be easy to find. Another great piece of advice is to make the design of your gallery personal and unique. Of course, art should be the focal point; there’s no doubting that. However, visiting an art gallery can be an exceptional experience if the atmosphere is just right. Put a lot of thought into your gallery’s interior since it could be something that draws customers in.

Credit: Antenna for Unsplash

Become familiar with the market

One of the first things you should get to before opening an art gallery is familiarizing yourself with all the trends in the art market. Researching your local market is necessary if you wish to be ready for everything that’s coming. A great way to do so is to arrange meetings with artists and other art community members to get a better insight and create bonds. By broadening your horizons this way, you’ll find the vision you want your gallery to reflect.

Embrace the Digital Era: Crafting an Online Presence for Your Art Gallery

To start an art gallery successfully, developing a strong online presence is crucial. In today’s digital age, having a dynamic website and utilizing social media platforms is essential for reaching a wider audience and attracting potential customers. Creating an engaging website that reflects the values and aesthetics of your art gallery will make it easier for people to connect with your brand.

Consider showcasing high-quality images of the artwork, providing detailed information about the artists and their creative process, and incorporating an online store for art purchases. Additionally, actively engage with social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter to share updates, behind-the-scenes content, and upcoming events.

The Art of Connection: Building Relationships in the Art Community

Another crucial aspect to consider when starting an art gallery is fostering relationships with local artists, art communities, and potential patrons. Networking within the art industry can open doors to collaborative opportunities, introductions to talented artists, and partnerships with other galleries or cultural institutions. Attend local art events, join art associations, and participate in community initiatives to connect with like-minded individuals and gain insights into the local art scene.

Building strong relationships with artists can help you curate diverse and compelling exhibitions while engaging with art enthusiasts and collectors can generate buzz and potential sales for your gallery. By actively immersing yourself in the art community, you can establish your gallery as a hub for creativity and become a trusted advocate for both emerging and established artists in your area.

Utilize what you’ve found out to start a successful art gallery

Try to find a way to fit in and stand out in your area simultaneously. If the sort of art you’re envisioning for your gallery has sufficient representation in the area, people don’t need one more of the same. In this case, selling artwork might be an almost impossible mission. Then again, if your new gallery doesn’t go with the overall vibe at all, you’re in trouble. Finding a balance is tricky. However, it’s the only way to stay relevant and in business.

Credit: Julian Irigoyen for Unsplash

Focus on the business side of things

Before you open an art gallery, you’ll need to make some tough decisions. How are you going to conduct business? The best route you can take is to speak to someone who’s already been through the ordeal. Experience is the most valuable thing you can have in the business world. Creating a clear business plan that’ll formulate the way your gallery will operate will be essential for its growth. How will you get funding? In what way will your gallery make money? If you’re planning to earn income by the commission, what will your percentage be? These are just some of the questions you’ll need to ask yourself.

Marketing is important

Of course, one of the most important aspects you’ll have to consider when it comes to your growth plan is your marketing standpoint. Nowadays, creating an online presence is imperative if you wish to be successful. Although it’s not the only way to market your business, it is the most effective one. This means you’ll need to get involved in social media, no matter if that’s your forte or not. Creating a dynamic website that’ll reflect everything the art gallery you’re opening stands for will make it easy for anyone to get interested. Reaching your target clientele has never been easier. So, be sure to take advantage of that.

Taking risks is part of the process

Although you need to learn from other people’s mistakes and grow your business smartly, this doesn’t mean that your working environment should be dull and homogenous. It would be best to aim for a peaceful and stable atmosphere that’s comfortable enough, of course. However, comfort zones aren’t suitable breeding grounds for growth. Make sure to stay educated, motivated, ambitious, and hungry. Calling risky shots from time to time will ensure that the art gallery you’ve started gets all the opportunities it deserves. Remember, no one’s ever made a massive success by staying inside the safe lane and a paved path.

Credit: Jeremy Dorrough for Unsplash

Purchasing an already existing business?

Even though taking risks is something every business eventually benefits from, this doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t consider investing in a sure thing. If you don’t want to start an art gallery from scratch and have some savings, purchasing an existing business is a great idea. You should, of course, be careful and smart about this. Make sure to buy a place that has all the positive aspects already set in motion. We’re talking products and a delivery system, loyal customers, regular sales, a reliable staff, and so much more.

Q: Introduce yourself and your gallery — who you are and what is your vision?

A: Making our youth dream come true, my husband Emanuele and I opened VALENTINARTE Art Gallery in 1987.

VALENTINARTE, since Valentina was the name chosen for our daughter born shortly before. She had brought so much happiness into our lives and we wanted to replicate the same successful result with the Gallery.

Q: What is your background?

A: Our primary goal was selling ART, quality ART. We started to sell ancient and modern art in the early years and then started inserting contemporary art into our gallery without falling into the obvious and the predictable.

Q: What is your work philosophy and how does that impact your gallery?

A: Our aim has always been to make Italian creativity loved by a large international clientele who had already chosen Lake Como and Bellagio as a destination for the Grand Tour in the nineteenth century and continue to choose it as a top Italian destination not to be missed.

Several choices were made in proposing artists. We met Italian ones over the years and many well-known or emerging artists. We always offer quality works, because art must not be a sterile reproduction but grant goosebumps and shivers to observers. It must make people falling love, drift them away for a few moments, evoke sensations, and excite them.

You fall in love with the painting, It remains in your memory and when you revisit it, it must go on making you feel the same emotions.

Over the thirty-six years, the Gallery has made itself known for its precise style, love for art and detail, care, and customer attention.

We receive letters of thanks and visits, perhaps unexpected after years, of art-loving collectors from all over the world, who return to rediscover the same joy experienced the first time.

Q: What does exhibiting at Artexpo New York 2023 mean to you?

A: Unfortunately, Emanuele passed away in 2016 and after that, I have continued to work alone. It’s hard. To save all the commitment and work done before, not losing in quality and proposals, but rather trying to improve by joining the Italian Gallerist Owners Association and participating in events dedicated exclusively to art, such as Artexpo New York, which allows me to stay updated on trends and novelties and follow the market.

As Artexpo New York presents its 46th edition at Pier 36 in Manhattan’s trending Lower East Side, a new addition has been made to the acclaimed fair programming: The Visionaries. Each Visionary is selected by Artexpo’s curatorial team based on three factors:

Unswerving representation of artist innovators, consistently bringing forward-thinking cutting-edge art to the fair

Articulate and distinctive presentation of each artist’s work, exceeding all display guidelines

Consistent exhibition at the fair over a period of three or more years

From the amazing list of exhibitors, Artexpo’s curators present the inaugural group of Visionaries — an acclaimed group of exhibitors giving Artexpo attendees a first-hand opportunity to see and collect incredible original art.

This year’s Artexpo New York takes place March 30-April 2, 2023, at Manhattan’s newest destination for art, Pier 36. Each year, the fair’s special programs range from immersive artist-led Art Lab experiences to compelling Art Talks and exciting Meet the Artist sessions.

Check out the 2023 Artexpo New York Visionaries. Don’t miss their exceptional exhibit and artists!

Catalyst Contemporary is pleased to premiere at Art San Diego and to introduce our artists to the West Coast. They are a fine art gallery focusing on contemporary art that tells stories. Located in Baltimore’s Mount Vernon neighborhood – the cultural heart of the city, Catalyst forges relationships between artists, collectors, and both creative and civic-minded individuals.

Catalyst will be showcasing five artists at this year’s fair including Alberto Cavalieri, Se Jong Cho, Brian P. Miller, James von Minor, and Arthur Jedson Smalley.

Alberto Cavalieri

Alberto Cavalieri s a Venezuelan visual artist who, throughout his long career, has achieved renown for his monumental sculptures and public works integrated into architectural forms. His oxidized sculptures and digital drawings deal mostly with the paradox between form and matter, as well as the duality between the essence of a material, and its visual possibilities.

Metal allows him to create an overriding paradox between matter and form. It enables him to create sinuous forms that are full of life and movement, which contrast diametrically to the rigidity and structure of the steel used to make them. Knots are a metaphor for life and one of the abstract forms used. And its multiple symbolisms enrich his work and increase its scope and resonance. Knots imply human activity and have different symbolic connotations in terms of how they are used, to the point that the connotations could be contradictory and/or ambivalent.

Se Jong Cho

Se Jong Cho is an environmental engineer and self-taught painter who embraces science’s counterpoint: art and creativity. She paints forms that offer intriguing entryways into the surreal, an art form that is equally concerned with reality (based in science) and with the mind’s unconscious thoughts (where creativity exists). In surrealist art, one finds juxtaposed objects and settings that make no sense. But the Surrealists were also interested in those scenarios as pathways to the unconscious and subconscious—in their terms, into one’s dreams—for in dreams one’s true nature is revealed. Fascinated by botany and the sun, Cho finds poetry in the intermingling of science and artistic creativity.

Digitized at Full Circle Fine Art Services, Inc.
Baltimore, Maryland
info@fullcirclephoto.com

Her works sit at this intersection of dreams and reality. Cho’s paintings featuring eclipses and other celestial bodies remind us that the sun is life-sustaining, and eclipses are a spectacular and unusual reminder of its centrality. In her work, the sun brings together concerns about the fragility of human existence in a world and universe that we have no hope of controlling. It is also a universal presence in our human experience, tying our prehistoric origins to our future.

Brian P. Miller

Brian P. Miller is a photographic-based artist steeped in all aspects and history of the medium. With a Mercurial disposition, his explorations in photography flit from one idea to another and back again. As a photographer, he is drawn to the moment of image-making – of light impressing upon silver, as a contemplative exercise where synchronicity exists between that which lies within and the outward perception.

Using traditional and new imaging techniques alike, Miller works with a process that suits the needs of the work at hand. “Alt/Arc” is a series begun in 2017 and focuses on dissolving the evidence of photographic, reducing the lens and film-based imagery to graphic impressions. The brightly colored and sometimes tessellating lines and shapes in this work celebrate and call attention to urban architecture and the spatial relationships it generates as an overwhelming array of abstraction.

James von Minor

James von Minor is a Maryland-based artist who is internationally known for his paintings, drawings, constructions, and sculptural installations. In his work, abstract, organic forms integrate into geometric patterns and shapes. These seemingly opposite styles depend on a delicate juggling act of balance, shape, color, and pattern. Humans are predisposed to look for dualities as an organizing principle; for every idea, there is a counter idea. But Von Minor suggests that this is an artificial concept in need of deconstructing.

He has dedicated his lengthy career to uncovering ways to move beyond the limitations of that duality-based thinking. The inspiration for this body of work is the Islamic architecture of southern Spain in which strict, rational, logical geometries are coupled with decorative, organic calligraphy and plant forms. In his work, Von Minor unifies concept and experience, as well as geometric and organic. In addition, the artist questions the nature of painting, drawing, and sculpture. Most of his work merges qualities of all these classical approaches: the paintings are sculptural, sculptures are painterly, etc. Von Minor blurs these boundaries to construct a new union of pattern and organic abstraction.

Arthur Jedson Smalley

Arthur Jedson Smalley is an artist who is deeply committed to the balancing act of control and chance. In fact, it is an essential part of his creativity. Smalley makes sculptures in wood, using both found and milled lumber, which form organic Möbius strips, and paintings of landscapes using latex house paints dripped from brushes attached to long sticks. The tension between the artist’s hand and the inherent tendencies of the medium tips one way or the other within the course of making the work. It is only in the struggle between artist and material that Smalley is uncomfortable enough to be comfortable with the results.

Smalley starts his paintings with a particular landscape in mind, one that he is deeply familiar with and visits often to study its forms and the way light plays across its features (only very rarely does he paint en plein air). Working with the painting surface (he uses artists’ board not canvas) lying on the floor, Smalley drips colors onto the board, all the while trying to control what that daubs or drips do. Because of the length of the tool of application and the viscosity of the paints, Smalley must embrace the pooling of the paint, accepting and counting on any accidents. He says, “paintings are compromises,” and admits that he tries to paint from his subconscious, letting go of any predetermined ideas save for the generalized landscape giving it visual structure.

Catalyst Contemporary will be exhibiting September 9-11. 2022 at Art San Diego, booth #313.

The Spotlight Program is a focused look at a curated group of exhibitors that are the most cutting-edge in their field. Here’s an overview of the Artexpo Dallas 2022 Spotlight Program recipients!

End to End Gallery — Booth 133

One of the top urban art galleries in the nation, End to End, E2E is a Graffiti & Street Art term that refers to a huge graffiti piece that covers a wall from one end to the other. On a subway train, it refers to a piece that covers the entire train, end to end. The street abbreviation is E2E.

This lexicon has been the inspiration behind End to End Gallery in their downtown Hollywood, Florida, gallery. Jeremiah Heller, owner and curator, created the space to feature a curated collection of modern and urban contemporary art from his own personal collection. It truly embodies the meaning of the E2E term and creates a unique viewing and rich collector experience.

Heller has developed a loyal following for the hottest urban artists on the planet. From Banksy and Mr. Brainwash to Martin Whatson, Kaws, and Kai, the End to End exhibition at Artexpo Dallas will be an impressive and newsworthy booth.

Ephraim Urevbu, Urevbu Collection — Booth 116

Urevbu is a contemporary gallery owner, painter, and published writer. While the Urevbu Contemporary Gallery in Memphis’ South Main Arts District showcases a dynamic collection of artists from Africa and the African diaspora, their Artexpo Dallas booth will focus on Ephraim Urevbu’s work.

Art served as a bridge from his past in Nigeria to his present in Memphis – the poverty and seemingly impossible cultural and familial barriers to a career in art, the hardened realities of Black life in America, the challenges of racism, and the private battle against cancer – gifting him with a unique and compassionate voice.

Urevbu is best known for his large-scale abstract expressionist paintings distinguished by his presentation of bold acrylics and heavy pallet knife technique. He is currently busy in his studio working on a new body of work that explores important social and political themes such as morality, truth, race, equal rights and social justice, largely within the context of his personal experiences and American history.

Leticia Herrera, Leta Herrera Art — Booth 134

Leticia Herrera is a prize-winning Mexican-American artist with a surreal vision whose works can be found in private collections all over the world. A seasoned artist, her work has been displayed in Mexican museums and she has received numerous artistic achievement awards throughout north Texas. She masterfully captures an unusual perspective by painting with oil and a palette knife.

Her three-dimensional impasto figures, she refers to as “Walkers,” are described as dreamers of life who travel the world in search of unity and freedom. Her artwork, she believes, conveys a sense of human vulnerability and hope. The shadows of her “Walkers” describe constant movement, unstoppable, always moving towards the soul of human existence. Which one will “walk” into your collection?

Patrick Jones Gallery — Booth 130

Located in Dallas’ Design District, the Patrick Jones Gallery specializes in investment-quality art and design for both seasoned and inquisitive collectors. Gallery owners Patrick Jones and Reyne Hirsch are veteran collectors with an eye for up-and-coming artists — and it’s played well since each of their artists has set records at auction. With a focus on contemporary and modern art, as well as a variety of significant twentieth-century designs, you’ll see Banksy, Andy Warhol, Invader, Arsham, Dicke, and other notable artists represented.

There are numerous factors to consider when attempting to make your art gallery shine and attract attention. Instagram can be a powerful tool for marketing your art space, but it is important to use it in the right way. Learn how to make your art gallery stand out on Instagram.

Instagram is a great place to showcase your art gallery and make it stand out from the crowd. It provides a great opportunity to get your art gallery in front of a large audience and build an immense following. Let’s look at how to use Instagram to make your art gallery look special.

WHY USE INSTAGRAM FOR YOUR ART GALLERY?

Instagram provides a range of opportunities for art galleries:

You can share photos of your art gallery and its artwork with the world.

It helps to increase awareness of a specific location and attract new visitors to it.

It enables you to establish relationships with potential leads and partners.

By sharing photos of your artwork and behind-the-scenes footage of your gallery, you can create a connection with your audience that will encourage them to visit your gallery in person.

HOW TO MAKE YOUR ART GALLERY STAND OUT ON INSTAGRAM

To make your art gallery stand out on Instagram, you need to be creative and use the app’s features to your advantage. Here are a few tips:

USE A DISTINCT USERNAME AND PROFILE PICTURE

The first thing you should do when setting up your new account is to use a unique username and profile picture. It will help distinguish your account from others so that you can get the most out of our platform.

ADD A DESCRIPTION OF YOUR GALLERY AND ITS LOCATION

This information will allow people to see your physical address and where they can find you.

SHARE INTERESTING AND ENGAGING PICTURES OF YOUR ARTWORK

You have to be unique to stand out from the crowd. If you want to be successful at anything, you have to be different. When people look at your gallery’s artworks, they should reflect on them by feeling impressed or excited about what they are seeing. They should not think, “Oh, I have seen that before.” They should say, “I never thought I would see that again!”

DO NOT MAKE COMPARISONS TO OTHERS

It does not matter if someone else is doing something better than you. What matters is that you do something better than you did yesterday. There is no point in comparing yourself to other art galleries. Instead, focus on being the best location for visitors you can be.

USE HASHTAGS TO COVER WIDER AUDIENCE

A hashtag is a keyword or phrase preceded by the “#” symbol that is used in social media posts. Using hashtags will make your posts visible to those who are interested in topics similar to your posts. Your audience will no longer be limited to existing users. If you use the right hashtags, you can reach thousands of potential users, art fans, and even customers.

EXPLORE BEHIND THE SCENES

People love getting a peek behind the scenes. This is why reality TV is so popular, and Instagram is such a great platform for art galleries. So, how can you use Instagram to give your viewers a look at what goes on behind the scenes? Here are a few tips:

Share photos of your artists at work.

Showcase your art in progress.

Go behind the scenes at art installations and events.

Share snippets of your artists’ interviews.

Post short videos of your artists talking about their work.

The William Havu Gallery was established in Aspen in 1973. It’s been in its current location since 1998 and is engaged in an ongoing dialogue through its seven exhibitions a year with regionalism as it impacts and is affected by both national and international trends in realism and abstraction. With a strong emphasis on mid-career, established artists, the gallery also shows emerging regional artists of exceptional maturity and quality in an AIA award-winning, postmodern building. The gallery has also been in the framing business since its inception in 1973 and continues to offer framing services to our clients. With 40+ years in the business of mounting exhibits worthy of critical review, the William Havu Gallery continues to acquire artists of regional importance and national acclaim.

“The William Havu Gallery is one of only a handful of top-tier contemporary venues in Denver. Havu specializes in the work of advanced or mid-career artists, most of whom work in Colorado or the Southwest.” – Michael Paglia, Westword Art Critic

“More than any other commercial gallery in Denver, William Havu knows how to mix and match its artists into exhibits that bring out the best in them, and each other. It helps that its roster is full of talent, but it takes a separate kind of curatorial talent to make a show so cohesive that it stands as an actual exhibit, a pleasure to visit, even if you’re not out shopping for art.” – Ray Mark Rinaldi, Denver Post Fine Arts Critic
